What is my rainbow?

"You will achieve your grand dream, a day at a time, so set goals for each day; not long and difficult projects, but chores that will take you, step by step, toward your rainbow. Write them down, if you must, but limit your list so that you won't have to drag today's undone matters into tomorrow. Remember that you cannot build your pyramid in twenty-four hours. Be patient. Never allow your day to become so cluttered that you neglect your most important goal; to do the best you can, enjoy this day, and rest satisfied with what you have accomplished." - Og Mandino

I love, love, love that quote by Og Mandino! It is so true. In knowing this, I decided to set some goals for today, not long and difficult projects, but chores that will take me, step by step, toward my rainbow.

Goals for today:

~ Chores around the house
~ Return DVD's
~ Grocery Shopping
~ Work out at the gym

Something else that quote made me think about; what exactly is 'my rainbow', my grand dream? When I think about my rainbow, I see myself grocery shopping for healthy items. I see myself at a lower weight, around 170 pounds, in jeans and a top that fit comfortably and look great. I see my husband and I in control of our finances and household; organized without much effort. I see myself living a healthy lifestyle without much effort. I see myself comfortably shopping in a clothing store, not worried about whether or not they carry plus sizes. I see myself in the dressing room of that clothing store, trying on clothes that actually fit.

As little as my goals for today may seem, it is true that they are taking me, step by step, toward my rainbow; my grand dream.

Now, I ask you this: What are your goals for today? Better yet, what is your 'rainbow'?
