
I took a small piece of the coffee cake back to my desk and enjoyed every bite of it! I didn't have time for breakfast this morning, so this treat along with a banana that I brought in from home was it! After I finished the coffee cake, something amazing happened; I didn't feel guilty! I felt satisfied and content. Something that I tend to forget along my way through this journey is that giving in to a small unplanned treat is okay! This journey isn't meant to be a perfect one, and striving for such a thing as that will only leave you feeling defeated and deprived. I should know, I have been there many times!
So, enjoy a small unplanned treat every once in a while! It may actually help your weight loss efforts by helping you to avoid a binge out of deprivation, later!
