Speaking About Babies

I apologize for my lack of blogging these past few days but this has been a very exciting and busy week! Friday was hands down the best day this week; I got to hold one of the most beautiful babies in the world after work on Friday.

My friend from work gave birth to Parker Brooks on Thursday, March 14th at 9:59 a.m. Parker weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20 inches long! She is absolutely perfect. Holding her was the best feeling, ever!

Speaking about babies, our very own baby (our new NordicTrack T5.5 Treadmill) will be arriving this Tuesday, March 19th! It seems like just yesterday we ordered our treadmill. I can't wait to see it all set up in what we are now referring to as the "treadmill room".

My husband spent some time taking apart the spare bed we set up only a year and a half ago. There was a lot of time and hard work spent making a comfortable, nice looking spare bedroom. We really liked the way it turned out, but as time went on, we've found that we don't have a use for a spare bedroom. My sister likes to sleep on the couch when she stays over, that way she can cuddle with our dogs all night. The spare bedroom wasn't even used once, so this room will now be referred to as the "treadmill room". That is, until we get more gym equipment. Maybe one day this room will be upgraded to the title of "home gym". We shall see.

Making plans for the week ahead is super exciting now that I can incorporate my very own treadmill in the mix!

W - Wii
T - Treadmill
F - Treadmill

Dinner plan for the week:

M - Pierogies with side salad
T - Chicken with green beans and potatoes
W - Quesadilla with side salad
T - Quesadilla with side salad
F - Chicken with corn and side salad

I almost forgot that today is St. Patrick's Day! We are going to be celebrating with a couple of friends this afternoon. A local ice cream shop is now open, and they serve some of the best food (and ice cream). None of the food is good for you, but eating there in moderation is what makes it okay! On St. Patrick's Day, we go there for the reuben. I'm not a big fan of reuben's but they aren't so bad. Eating at this ice cream shop is becoming a tradition with our friends because we did the very same thing last year!

What are you doing to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Do you have any traditions for this holiday?
