Hello friends, and welcome to September!
It takes skill to catch them both blinking at the same time. |
I hope that you all had a nice and restful Labor Day
Weekend. We were very busy, and had a lot of fun! We had a Rehearsal Dinner on
Friday, a Wedding on Saturday, a picnic on Sunday and another picnic on Monday.
I managed to fit in some time for running on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I am
really glad that I did. Fitting in time for fitness is so important. My morning
run was a little part of the day that was mine, and only mine. It’s nice to set
aside some time for yourself. Actually, in some cases, it’s almost necessary to
do so.

If you've been following my journey this past month, you’ll
know that I had set some goals for myself to accomplish in August. If I had to
give myself a grade, I think that I would give myself a B+ as toward my effort
and ability in accomplishing my goals for August. That’s a passing grade in my
book!
August Goals:
Break out of the 230's
- I lost a total of 6.2 lbs in the month of August. On August
31st, I weighed in at 231.8 lbs. While I didn’t break out of the 230’s,
I got myself much closer than where I started at the beginning of the month!
Track calories for 6/7 days a week
- I did this for the majority of the month.
Exercise 4/7 days a week
- I did this for the majority of the month.
Drink 64 ounces of water daily
- I may have missed a few days, but I significantly
increased my water intake this month!
Get 7-8 hours of sleep a day
- I did this for about 90% of the month.
Now that August is over, it’s time to focus on September. I
had come up with some goals this weekend, but have decided to tweak those goals
even more and have come up with the following list.
September Goals:
Break out of the 230’s
Run a 12:30 minute mile
Exercise 4 days a week
Track nutrition 5 days a week
Try a new recipe
Try something I've never done before
Go back to church
I've got a busy month ahead of me. Just looking at my
calendar gives me a minor anxiety attack. I've got a couple business trips to
attend; a lot of Trials to prep for; a bunch of meetings to attend, and; a long-weekend
vacation to fit in there.
Some weight-loss challenges to be aware of include trying to
stay on track while eating out during business trips; our annual fair week,
and; the long-weekend vacation.
I will be faced with a lot of foodie
temptations this month, but my will to succeed and reach my goals will be
stronger. Bring on September!
You will rock those goals! Can't wait to hear about them!
ReplyDeleteYou rocked your goals! You're so close to breaking out of the 230's! THe new decade is right around the corner! :)
