My husband and I had so much fun this weekend! It was a super active weekend. My body is really tired, but in a good way. I got a lot of fresh air; my lungs are happy. We ran a mile at the peninsula on Friday, we rode 9 miles through a wooded trail on Saturday and I got in an interval run around town, today.
After all of the hard work I put in this week with exercising and eating well, it was a little disheartening to see that I lost less than a pound during my weigh-in this morning. I weighed in at 231.4 lbs. My husband and I decided that it was about time that we bought a new scale, so next week I will be weighing in on a different scale. Hopefully it will be more accurate, and there won't be too much of a difference from where I am currently to begin with.
We also bought the Magic Bullet this weekend. My husband and I enjoy smothies, but we don't make them very often because they are a pain to make in our blender. I have been craving smoothies lately, so I'm excited to try our new bullet this week! The package that we got included four to-go cups; those will be very convenient for the mornings. I plan on making a smoothie for breakfast tomorrow.
This week is going to be a challenge. It's fair week in our small town, which means that fair food is back. If that wasn't enough, I also have a business trip from Wednesday through Friday. I don't know what I will be eating while I'm out of town, which makes it hard because I'm trying to eat right and stay on track. So, here's what I've got planned for this week:
Dinner Plan for the week:
Sunday: Chicken Noodle Soup (done!)
Monday: Chicken Salad
Tuesday: Gyro at the Fair
Wednesday: Work Picnic
Thursday: Work Picnic
Friday: Gyro at the Fair
Saturday: Melt in Your Mouth Chicken
Exercise Plan for the week:
Sunday: Run (done!)
Monday: Run
Tuesday: Yoga
Wednesday: Run
Thursday: Run
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Run
As for my September goals, I've accomplished quite a bit in my first week:
September Goals:
Break out of the 230’s
Try a new recipe
Try something I've never done before
Go back to church
My biggest challenge this week will definitely be to stay within my calorie range while being out of town on business, while eating out at the fair, plus finding the motivation to exercise while being away from home. As of right now, though, I believe I can do it. That's the first step!
