Quick Workout and Deer Sausage

When I got home from work yesterday, I immediately started getting ready for a workout. I changed, filled up my water bottle, grabbed my sneakers and headed upstairs to our home gym. I did a quick workout on our treadmill, consisting of intervals:

.25 miles at 5 mph
.25 miles at 3 mph
.25 miles at 5 mph
.25 miles at 3 mph
walk to reach total of 20 min.

Me, after my workout yesterday.

It was quick, but effective. I felt great afterward! I stretched, then went downstairs to make something new for dinner.

My husband helped me make deer sausage with gnocchi and mixed vegetables. I don't really enjoy cooking meat, so my husband (thankfully) took that over. The deer sausage was from a deer that my grandpa got this winter. It was a spicy sausage, and it tasted good. That's about all the further I want to think about that.

The gnocchi was from a frozen bag. It was Rizzo's brand. It turned out perfect! Gnocchi is so delicious. It's really filling, too!

My husband and I bought a new item at the grocery store this week. We decided to try a huge bag of frozen mixed vegetables. I usually enjoy getting fresh produce, but this seemed too easy and inexpensive not to try.

We steamed the vegetables, and seasoned them with garlic salt. They also turned out great!

Our Monday was really wonderful. Working out as soon as I get home really helps me stay on track for the rest of the night. It also gives me the second wind that I sometimes need to get dinner made, and dishes cleaned.

How was your Monday?
What did you have for dinner?
What's on your plate for tonight?
