August 2014 Goals | Call me Crazy

Yesterday began the month of August. How is it already August, you ask? I don't know. And, to be  quite honest, I'm not really complaining, either. I've been listening to Christmas music way more than I'd like to admit lately. Call me crazy, it's okay!

Now that I'm in my second trimester, I have days when I'm feeling more like my old self. I have decided that I should start acting like my old self, too. That is how I came to make myself three goals for the month of August.

August Goals

Drink 5 - 24 oz. bottles of water a day.
This goal is best met when I aim to drink 2 bottles before noon, drink 2 bottles in afternoon and drink 1 bottle with/after dinner.

Be more positive.
Something that really helped me lose 40 pounds prior to getting pregnant, was my attitude. Even if I didn't completely feel it, I would find a way to be positive about my situation; whatever it was at the time. With all the fluctuating hormones and not-so-nice side effects that come with pregnancy, it's easy to not be positive at times. I've decided that I'm going to make a conscious effort to just enjoy the remainder of this pregnancy. The ups and the downs. A more positive momma, coming your way!

Go for at least 3 walks a week.
Yep, I'm going there! I'm making exercise a goal this month. Make that, a priority! I had gotten very few walks in during my first trimester, however; I noticed that after my walks, I felt better! I'm looking to feel more of that, this month!

That's it, folks! I'm going for it!

1. What are your goals for August?
2. Brag time: I want to hear what you're proud of accomplishing! Was it last month, this year, in your lifetime? Share it!
