Below is a formula to help spark some new ideas when it comes to making sandwiches!
Sandwiches
STEP 1: Pick the "stuffing"
Classic Deli Meats and Cheese
- Turkey and American
- Lean Ham and Swiss
- Turkey Bacon and Provolone, etc., etc., etc.
Egg Salad (three ways)
- Classic Egg Salad
- Egg Salad with Avocado
- Egg Salad with Cucumbers
Classic Chicken Salad (with options)
- Add Grapes
- Add Craisins or Raisins
- Add Apples
STEP 2: Pick the bread
Classic Sandwich Bread:
- Italian
- Whole Wheat
- Rye, etc., etc., etc.
Wraps:
- White
- Whole Wheat
- Spinach, etc., etc., etc.
Specialty Bread:
- Caibatta
- French
- Sourdough, etc., etc., etc.
STEP 3: Add a vegetable
Greens:
- Romaine
- Kale
- Spinach, etc.,
Bell Peppers
Red Onions
Tomatoes
Olives
Pickles
Cucumbers
This list is only the tip of the iceberg (lettuce) when it comes to making different sandwich combinations. Don't be scared; branch out! Stick within your budget and enjoy what you're eating. A simple recipe for reaching your goals!
