The Story of Yesterday

Yesterday's brunch was a little random, just as the day before. It started with the first thing I could grab, which ended up being a granola bar, and then it went on to some leftover soup my mom had given us.

Brunch

Chocolate Chip Granola Bar (100 calories)

Beef Vegetable Soup (284 calories)

Lunch was a quick fix, as well. Some days, when you're home with a newborn (I will be referring to my 7-week-old as a newborn as long as possible because anything else just doesn't seem right) a quick fix is all you have time for.

Lunch

Pasta with Sauce (390 calories)

When my husband got home, we decided we wanted to take our dogs for a walk at the park.

It was sunny and in the high 40's. Still too cold for our Piper to join us, so we dropped her off with nana, where I grabbed a snack for myself.

Snack

Chocolate Chip Cookie (160 calories)

After we got home from our walk, I made panko crusted pork chops with baked potatoes and green beans for dinner. I even got a chance to have a beer with this awesome meal!

Dinner

Panko Crusted Pork Chops with Baked Potatoes and Green Beans (473 calories)

Blue Moon (171 calories)

My husband played with Piper while I made dinner. It was really sweet. Especially when he decided to put her pants on her head while he changed her diaper. Where does he come up with this stuff? If she's not making me laugh, he sure is.

And of course, it wouldn't be a night time snack without my Girl Scout Cookies.

Snack

Tagalongs (280 calories)

Don't worry, the Girl Scout Cookies are almost gone. You will stop seeing pictures of them, soon.

So far, this challenge of taking pictures of all my meals has been going great! I peaked at the scale this morning and I'm down a couple pounds. Official weigh-in to come this Sunday. I just love eating whatever I want, while losing weight. A little thing called "balance and moderation" allows me to do so.

Have you been out for a walk this year? Sounds like a funny question, but it's been so cold this winter, I had to ask!

  1. Is your husband changing the baby on your kitchen table?

    1. Oh yes! For Christmas, my husband got me that diaper pad clutch you see underneath her. When we are done changing her, the pad folds into a clutch. We can change her virtually anywhere! It fits in the diaper bag and in my purse. It's great!
