Yummies of Yesterday

Yesterday was a really great day! Let's be honest though, when you're spending your day with this little monkey, how couldn't it be a great day?




I know I say this a lot, but I just love staying home with Piper! This almost 7-week-old puts a smile on my face every single day.

Yesterday, we entertained each other while I folded laundry in the morning. She put herself to sleep and I did the dishes during her nap. Is it weird that my house is cleaner now, with a newborn, than it was before she was here? I think I make that comment at least three times a week.

Alright. On to the yummies of yesterday...


Breakfast
Fried Egg on Toast with American Cheese and Coffee (232 calories)

Snack
Chocolate Chip Muffin (200 calories)

Lunch
Caesar Salad with Shredded Mozzarella, Cucumbers and Sunflower Seeds (267 calories)

 Snack
Apple with Peanut Butter (262 calories)

 Dinner
Lemon Basil Salmon with Jasmine Rice and Green Beans (346 calories)

Snack
Thin Mints (400 calories)

Total Calories: 1,706

Day two of reaching my goal for the week was even better than day one. I ate 100 less calories while eating even more cookies! Okay, that really wasn't the goal. (You can read more about my goal for the week by clicking here.) I have really just been enjoying these Girl Scout Cookies my mom gave me. I expect the thin mints to last approximately one more day or so in this house. Especially since I'm suppose to be sharing the box with my husband.
