Piper LOVES Green Beans

These next couple days I want to talk about food -- baby food.

The introduction of solids has been a very carefully thought out process. I have done a lot of research on the topic and my husband and I have had many discussions. We have always been on exactly the same page with this, and for that I am thankful!

My husband and I agreed to introduce Piper to vegetables first, and then we'll get to the sweeter stuff. There really is no "right" way to introduce solids, this is just what we decided on for Piper. We also want to give her homemade food as much as possible. {I still owe you a homemade baby food post; that is coming tomorrow!}

So far, we have introduced Piper to carrots, sweet potatoes and now: green beans. I was so surprised with how well Piper took the green beans. She was so excited! I think they are her favorite, so far.

Green beans are going to be another vegetable {like carrots} that I start out buying from the store. However, I will end up making homemade green bean puree for Piper when texture isn't that big of a deal. The skins on the green beans are just too tough and hard to puree down to where Piper needs them right now.

Here's a video of Piper's first bites of {her favorite} green beans:

And here's a video of Piper "playing with her food":

I'm very happy that Piper loves her vegetables so much! Every new food is exciting to share with her; I am loving these days!
