I don't know if I would have remembered that day specifically if I hadn't wrote about it. That day was one filled with a lot of wonderful little moments. As I looked back on that post (now that Piper is 8 months old), I feel so much joy to have those memories remembered. It made me think of this quote: "Enjoy the little things in life, for someday you'll realize they were the big things." - Kurt Vonnegut. Never were words so true.
As I mentioned in my post from yesterday, I haven't had much motivation lately to update this blog consistently. I've just been living more in these little moments of ours and updating randomly along the way. Finding this old post of mine, though, has made me really want to make more of an effort to write about our life (and of course my goal of "losing weight while living life"). So here's a little bit about what happened yesterday.
Piper and I met up with my friend and her two adorable children for a walk around the park. It was a beautiful fall day! My heart was so full watching Piper with my friend's kids. They were so happy to see each other! It really doesn't get much better than watching your child(ren) become friends with your friend's child(ren). That's a great feeling!
After our walk at the park, Piper took a nap and my husband came home from work. I made chicken stir fry for dinner and it was really, really good! I swear I could eat stir fry every day. Tonight we are going to make pork stir fry, if I get home at a decent time. I have another dress fitting for my sister's wedding (coming up in March).
This weekend we have a birthday party and we are hoping to get out to a pumpkin farm if the weather is nice enough.
Readers, what are you up to this weekend?
