It's the first week of May -- finally! Now if only the weather would start following the "April showers bring May flowers" rule, that would be great.
It's a rainy Monday here, but that's alright. I have a few banner orders to get done and out the door today. The rain makes it easier to work. If it were sunny, I'd definitely want to go play outside, instead.
Speaking of playing outside, we did a lot of fun things like that this weekend. On Saturday, Nick had to fix a leak in the pond and so Piper and I played in the yard while he worked. I'm happy to say that our pond is fixed and running ever so nicely now.
Between Friday and Saturday, we ate out a lot this weekend (oops). We really love our family date nights out, and so we went to a local Italian restaurant on Friday. Piper was a good little toddler. We put her order in for cheese pizza as soon as we got there, so it was ready fairly fast. That always helps. As long as she has food, she's a happy girl (just like her mama).
Before our family dinner on Friday, Piper and I went out to lunch with our friends. We went to the Wegman's cafe, which was nice because my friend and I both had some things we needed to pick up from the grocery store while we were there.
Later on Friday evening, Nick and I went out for a double date with our friends at the bar. There was kareoke and laughing until the wee hours of Saturday morning. We definitely needed a night out like that; it had been a while!
Even though I ate out a lot on Friday and Saturday, I reigned it back in and did very well on Sunday. Nick made me breakfast in bed and took care of Piper downstairs on Sunday morning so I could get some meal planning and our weekly grocery list done. We are now stocked up on groceries for the week and I'm ready to get started on my next challenge. I'll share more about that, tomorrow!
