When date nights feel like an actual vacation -- you may be a parent.
This whole date night feeling like vacation thing is very cost effective for us. Our vacations use to cost a lot more money than just dinner and movie.
I know that today is the start of a new week but, I want to back track a bit to the end of last week. On Friday, Nick and I went out on a date night without Piper. After an afternoon appointment at the pediatrician's office, a parents-only date night was just what the doctor had ordered!
We went out to eat at one of our favorite places to go when it's just the two of us; Buffalo Wild Wings. The booths are so big and so are their televisions. We love to sit on the same side of the booth and play tv trivia together while we wait for our food.
Thankfully, my goal for last week left a little room for error (stay in calories 5 out of 7 days) because I wouldn't have passed up eating those mozzarella sicks and wings for anything. And the beer tasted so, so good.
After dinner, we went to a movie in the movie theater. This hasn't happened since before Piper was born! It was such a nice night out. We went to see "The Boss" with Melissa McCarthy. I was a little worried that it was going to be a dud but we weren't disappointed. We are still laughing at some of the moments from the movie even today! It's definitely a movie we'd watch again.
A lot of our date nights out have been spent along with friends these past 15 months but nothing can really top a date night with just the two of us. Those are my favorite ones of all.
