I have a lot of updates coming for you this week, and I'm going to try to split them up accordingly. I haven't been blogging much because it's been so nice outside, and we've been enjoying summer from sun up to sun down.
Today, I'm going to talk about what we've been doing closer to sun down. Summer evenings are wonderful, you guys! When we spend the evening at home (versus out riding bikes or going for a walk), we can be found relaxing in our backyard.
Our backyard is our own little private oasis where Piper loves to swing, swim and play in her new (to her) play house.
If we still have clothes hanging on the clothes line, then she loves run through the clothes with the dogs as I take the clothes off the line.
Some nights we play hard, other nights are more relaxing.
(P.S. if you haven't tried "Wild Blue" blueberry lager, you're missing out. It's my favorite beer of all time, hands-down! Blue moon is my second favorite, just so you know, in case you ever want to bring beer and join in on our relaxing summer nights.)
Many times per week, Nick and I have a date-night out, on the stone patio. We love to sit there next to the fire after Piper has gone to sleep at night. We talk, drink, reflect, and dream together under the summer sky, often watching it turn from day to night. Summer night fires are a favorite of ours.
Whether we're out riding bikes, walking the neighborhood or staying at home; our summer evenings are very well spent.
Readers, what are some of your favorite things to do during your summer evenings?
