In case you hadn't noticed, I have been on holiday from my Etsy shop since about Thanksgiving time and I just recently decided to stay on holiday until January 23rd. That's a very long two-month break, and it was quite the liberating choice to make; one of the best parts of being your own boss.
The thing is, I am still working, just behind the scenes. I'm working on my bookkeeping, my inventory and on my "Anything Rustic" brand. I am just taking it all at a slower pace, since I took the time off from creating. Of course, I'm also taking the time to enjoy the season we're in; Christmas is right around the corner, after all!
To be honest, I was originally just going to close my shop for holiday until January 2nd, but, I decided to extend the break until after my daughter's 2nd birthday on January 21st. I figured if I'm going to be crafting anything in the beginning of January, I want it to be for her birthday celebration. Also, I want to spend a little more time behind the scenes doing some research for our next big step. I'm working on some exciting ideas for 2017!
Even though we are on holiday from the Etsy shop, there is still one more opportunity to shop our collection before Christmas. We will be at the Alpaca Farm (like last year) on December 11th, selling our rustic treasures from 10 - 3! If you're local, I hope to see you there!
