Who is on YOUR Team?

Guess what, you guys?! My husband, Nick, has signed up to participate with me in my HealthyWage Jackpot Challenge! {Don't know what I'm talking about? Read more here: Goal of Losing's HealthyWage Jackpot Challenge}

This is some very exciting news, for many reasons! First, by him joining my team, we upped the ante. Instead of me just betting $60 that I can lose 6% of my body weight in 12 weeks, we threw in even more money to the pot; betting another $60 that he will be able to reach this goal along with me! 

The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward, right?! Well, it's going to have to be! We can't afford to lose $120 between the two of us; so we NEED to reach our 6% goal and lose this weight! Plus, if when we do reach our goal, chances are we will get our money back and then some! All of the winners get to split the Jackpot with the rest of the winning teams!

Speaking of the pot; the Jackpot has already grown to just under $3,000.00! There's still time for more teams to join us, too! I can't wait to see how big the pot gets by the time of our initial weigh in on Friday, January 6th!

Tip for Weight Loss Success

Between the cash incentive and the fact that I will have my teammate {Nick} helping me stay accountable and consistent {almost all hours of the day; right in my very own house}, I think that I just increased our odds of reaching our goal!

After all, 12 weeks is a long time. Chances are, we aren't always going to feel motivated at the same time, so it will be good to have that extra support from each other.

Also, I know that by having my husband on my team, I am going to have even more incentive to cook healthy meals. I won't just be cooking it for myself; I'll be cooking healthy because Nick is also interested in reaching the same goal right along with me! There is so much to benefit from your significant other being on your same team {the two of you being quite literally a team in this case}!

In order to win our cash back, Nick and I will need to lose an average of 6% of our body weight. We will need to keep each other motivated to stay on course, because neither one of us wants to be the one to let the other down by not reaching our 6%!
