Weigh-in #2 - November 10 lb. Challenge

It's weigh-in day!

November Weigh-in's
11/1/17: 236 lbs
11/9/17: 234.6 lbs.
11/16/17: 234.2 lbs.

In two weeks, I have lost and maintained a loss of about 2 lbs. Considering that I've been in somewhat of a survival mode {with a sick kiddo and getting virtually no sleep}, I'll take that success. Sure, it's not a huge success but, I am proud of maintaining my loss this week. 

When times get tough, I usually turn to food. I am being stronger than my normal standards and I am cheering myself on because of it.

Being your own cheerleader is such an important part of this weight-loss journey. If you don't believe in yourself, you won't make the changes necessary to continue on.

I am continuing on.

If you read my post yesterday, then you know that I have changed my November goal of losing 10 lbs. this month down to 6 lbs. I know from experience that trying to reach an unattainable goal is counterproductive. 

While at the beginning of the month 10 lbs. seemed like a real possibility, now that I'm halfway through the month, I need a more realistic goal to keep striving toward. Losing 4 more pounds in two weeks feels within my reach and so, I'm motivated to keep trying to get there.

This morning, I made myself a smoothie for breakfast. I have been very lazy when it comes to making my morning smoothies lately. It's the easiest thing to make and yet, I sometimes skip breakfast all together just because I don't want to go through the trouble. 


The trouble? All I have to do is throw a banana in the cup with some coconut milk, frozen strawberries, whey and cacao powder. Then, I need to go down to the basement to blend it all together {we keep the blender in the basement since it's so loud and we don't want to wake Piper in the morning}. That's it! It's so easy and I've been so lazy about making my smoothies but, not today. Today, I made a smoothie and I feel great because cacao does that to me.
