Couch to 5K Program: Week 1 Day 3

It's been two weeks since I last attempted Week 1 Day 3 of the Couch to 5K program. I was mid-run when I strained a muscle in my leg, stopping me dead in my tracks. I allowed enough time for my muscle to fully heal and I'm happy to say that I finally completed Week 1 of the program last night!

I didn't actually get the chance to run until after 8pm last night. I was with both girls all day, facilitating one of the final days of remote Kindergarten for my oldest. Then, by the time my husband got home it was time to start dinner and get ready for Piper's Tball practice. We drove separate to practice so that I could take Delaney home as soon as it was over. Piper likes to play on the park with her friends after practice but Delaney is usually due for a bottle and bed by that time. 

It worked really well driving separate to practice. Nick stayed with Piper at the playground while I took care of Delaney at home. Delaney was asleep and I was ready to go for my run just as soon as Nick and Piper were pulling in the driveway. At that point I didn't have any excuse not to go running besides being tuckered out from a long day. I knew that I'd feel better running than resting, though. If you know, you know. I ran my slow and steady intervals and I loved it!

It feels good to be back! Fingers crossed I can stay injury free so I can continue on this program.
