Big Bridesmaid Challenge Update - Week 28

The Plan:

I'm setting weekly goals/plans for myself until August 11th. That is the date of my best friend's wedding and I want to feel good about myself in my bridesmaid dress!

The Terms and Conditions:

Current Date: 7/22/12
Current Weight: 232 lbs (-0 lbs from last week)
Total Loss: 13 lbs.
Goal Weight: 220 lbs.
Goal Date: 8/11/12
Pounds to Goal: 12 lbs.

Dinner Plan for the Week:

Monday: Grilled Bacon Chicken Wrap
Tuesday: Salmon with Broccoli and Rice
Wednesday: Cold Cut Salad with Ranch
Thursday: Sesame Chicken with Broccoli and Rice
Friday: Date Night (Baseball Game)
Saturday: Steak with Grilled Vegetables

Exercise Plan for the Week:

Sunday: Rest
Monday: Workout
Tuesday: Rest
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Workout
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Workout

In planning ahead this week, I incorporated lunches and breakfast in to my weekly menu. I am going to make a quiche tonight for a quick breakfast that I can pop in the microwave for a few seconds in the mornings. By planning ahead and having breakfast readily available, I know this will help me stay away from the "office donuts" and give me less of an excuse to cave in to higher calorie options.

I have a grocery list organized according to the sections at our local grocery store. This helps save time when we are there. It also helps us to stay on track (i.e. avoiding the baked goods/treats). Speaking of staying on track, I did follow my meal and exercise plan for last week which is the second week in a row! I didn't lose any weight this past week, but no gain is still good! I know that if I wouldn't have had so many after-dinner trips to Dairy Queen with my husband last week, I would have at least lost a pound. Ice cream is so hard to say no to on a hot summer day, though. I'll do better this week!

  1. I try and plan my whole day of meals ahead of time as well. Helps me stay on focus!
