Merry Christmas Everyone

Merry, merry Christmas, readers!

This was a wonderful year for my husband and I. We were blessed enough to see almost all of our family this year for Christmas. We got to see two sides of family on Christmas Eve and some people from all four sides of our family, today.

I feel like it would be easy to complain about how many stops we have to make around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (because I've been guilty of doing so, before); but the reality is that we wouldn't have it any other way, right now. After a day of visiting with all of our family, my heart is very full (and so is my belly).

I could go on forever about how blessed my husband and I are to have such warm, loving, funny, supportive, caring family members; but I'll save you from the sap. Just know that we feel the love, we share the love, and we know how blessed we are to have each of our family members in our lives. Christmas is a wonderful reminder of all that.

My husband's gifts to me, wrapped nicely this morning.

We started the day in our pajamas on the couch. My husband and I exchanged gifts, and took turns opening them. I got him a lot of tools he asked for and surprised him with a pin up calendar and a scrap book (so he can keep track of the progress he makes on the old Rat Rod Truck he is building).

Dooney bags from my husband, Coach bag from my sis-in-law.

My husband surprised me with a beautiful scarf, a Dooney and Bourke wristlet and handbag. He really went over and above with my gifts. We both agree that we won't be doing this when we eventually have a child, but while we are a single couple, it is nice that we can spoil one another from time to time.

We weren't the only ones spoiling each other. Our families really went above and beyond for us, too. My husband and I received a lot of wonderful gifts this year. I wish I could share with you all of the gifts we got, but I only took a picture of the gifts that we still had laying around this evening. (Note the wireless ear buds and free weights. This girl is ready to get back to a workout routine!)

Since we've been home from all of our Christmas stops, I've been making some goals for the New Year while listening to Christmas music.

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. It was wonderful, and I hope for many more years of time spent with our family during Christmas.
