Give and Take

Yesterday was my sister's 18th birthday. I got a text message from my mom in the afternoon, letting me know that we were all going out to dinner to celebrate. Therefore, I did not stick to my meal plan yesterday. However, I did stick to my meal plan on Tuesday:

Tuesday night's dinner.

I'm all about focusing on the positive right now.

For instance, I am positively certain that I didn't sleep a wink with my new plantar fasciitis boot on during my first night with it. I am also positive that I was being sarcastic about this being a positive thing. I finally kicked the thing off at 3:30 a.m. I slept HARD from 3:30 until 6:00 a.m. Then, I continued sleeping until 6:30 a.m. because I just couldn't will myself to open my eyes. I felt like I weighed twice my weight when I woke up. I was tired and delirious.

Last night went a little better with the boot. Mostly because I didn't sleep with it on as long. Is it really possible to sleep all night with a boot on? Please help me.

I called my podiatrist yesterday, and he confirmed that while I am restricted from running these next two weeks, I can instead use the elliptical or bicycle. I don't have either of those machines, but I can use them at the high school during open gym Monday-Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. I'm hoping to get there tonight to make up for my lack of cardio, last night.

It's all about balance! I took a little last night by not exercising and eating out. Now it's time to give a little today by exercising and sticking within my nutrition ranges.
