If you follow my instagram account, then you might have already
seen my new favorite picture of success.
While there may be a few people whose success story looks
like the picture on the left, please be warned that my story is definitely similar
to the one on the right. Scribbles upon scribbles upon scribbles.
Some days are great, some days I could do better. Yesterday,
I could have done better. Wednesday and Thursdays are always hard for me. My
husband has night class on those nights, so I am usually alone. When I am
alone, or out of my element, it’s a trigger for me to overeat.
Since yesterday was not that great, it’s even more of a reason for today to be great.

For breakfast this week, I have been treating myself to a
McDonald’s egg white delight sandwich. (Not the healthiest option for breakfast,
but it has been a treat!) The time change has been hard for me to adjust to
this week, so a quick stop at McDonalds for a 250 calorie breakfast sandwich has
really helped. Something else that helps is that the egg white delight is 2 for
$3.00 this week, so I only had to stop at McDonalds a couple times this week; saving
one sandwich in the fridge to be reheated the next day.
This week, I have been having Progresso soups for lunch. I
try not to do this very often, because of the sodium content, but the light
soups are tasty, quick and low in calories.
As for dinner tonight, our friends are coming over for a
seafood feast! Our local grocery store had a sale on seafood, so when we went for our usual grocery trip last Sunday, we stocked up on
crab legs. I haven’t made crab legs in a while so I’ll have to search the
proper way to cook them.
I stepped on the scale this morning, and I was happy to see some progress, even despite overeating last night. Sticking to my strength training must have something to do with this. I really enjoy the arm workout I've been sticking to lately. I'm hoping to share it with you, maybe by video, soon!
Have you ever made
crab legs?
Do you like seafood?
Do you prefer strength training or cardio workouts?
-Since my possible plantar fasciitis started to flare up, strength workouts have been my saving grace!
I love strength training! It's easy to put on a tv show and work my arms than for me to do cardio.
ReplyDeleteHope your seafood feast is wonderful!
