Freezer Meals: My Postpartum Stash

Now that I'm 39 weeks along in my pregnancy, many people have asked me if I have begun "nesting". To answer that question, I think that I have been nesting in my own way, and for quite some time now. How, you ask? Well, it has to do with food, of course.

Since about the beginning of December, with the help of my sweet husband, I have been making meals to store in our deep freezer for us to enjoy postpartum. I have a few different kinds of meals stored away, and below are the links to each recipe I have used.

This is my first week at home since leaving my job to become a stay at home mom. Right now, it just feels like I am on vacation. I think it will take a while before I feel like I'm really not going back.

As for my excitement this week, I have a chiropractor appointment this afternoon. Tomorrow I have a prenatal appointment and sonogram. My husband and I are planning on going out to dinner after that appointment, as a final date before baby comes. The rest of the week is open! I may make another meal this week to add to my postpartum freezer stash. If so, I'll be sure to let you know.

What's your excitement for the week?
Do you have a homemade freezer meal stash of your own?
What is your favorite meal to make in bulk and freeze?

  1. My boyfriend is an inspiring chef, and while we both have great culinary skills, he is a fly by the seat of the pants kind of meal maker. He can't get into the weekly meal planning because he says "we don't know what we will be in the mood for". *sighs*

    1. Weekly meal planning can definitely be hard! There have been times when my weekly meal plan doesn't go exactly as planned. On a picky week, I notice a certain meal or two can get pushed back until it's the end of the week and we just have to make it before the ingredients go bad! :)

  2. I don't have a freezer stash right now but I have a lot of throw it in the crock pot in the morning meals in our meal plan.
