Piper's First Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday, Piper and I made Valentine's Day cards with her footprint. She was half asleep, of course, but I think she still had fun.

Celebrating Valentine's Day with a newborn is so special! My husband and I thought our Valentine's Days were filled of love before; just imagine our surprise this year.

This little girl absolutely fills our hearts to the brim.

Nick made homemade noodles with a homemade alfredo sauce for lunch (I'll share the recipe with you soon). I had my alfredo noodles with a nice glass of wine.

We have an appointment to get our taxes done at 4:30 (so romantic) and we may get a chance to go out to dinner afterward (or at least get some take out) while we have a babysitter. Crazy how all of a sudden we need a babysitter in order to do the things that were so normal for us in the past. This is why we are trying to take full advantage of our "time out" by getting taxes done and doing dinner all while we have a sitter.

Later on, my husband and I are going to watch a movie. It's very cold and snowy out so it's the perfect night to cuddle on the couch, under a blanket with my guy and a glass of wine.

What are you doing for Valentine's Day?
