As you may know, I'm working on one goal per week for the month of May. My goal for this week is to workout at least three times. I am planning on going to Jazzercise class tonight (at 4:30 p.m.); on Tuesday (at 5:45 p.m.), and; on Thursday (at 5:45 p.m.).
Evening workouts are my jam! A couple weeks ago, I tried a morning workout and it made me really sick. This was the second morning workout that I tried this year and both times I ended up feeling sick the entire rest of the day. Does this happen to anyone else?
Whenever I work out in the mornings, I get a burst of energy for about an hour or two after the workout, beyond that, I feel extremely lethargic the rest of the day. I'm not sure what it is about morning workouts. They just make me sick!
I've also noticed that when I workout in the evenings, I burn more calories (probably because I'm more awake). Just like the morning workouts, the evening workouts give me a burst of energy for a couple hours and then I get tired, which is perfect timing since it's usually time for bed!
This week, I'm going to try to workout with my sister and/or a friend. It's more motivation to actually get out to my workout when I'm meeting a friend there and also, working out with a friend makes me work a little harder. Bonus: we usually burn more calories laughing the whole time, too!
I experience the EXACT same thing!
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not alone!
DeleteI'm the opposite! I usually don't have the energy to work out in the evening but sometimes I have to because of work. I definitely prefer morning workouts though.
