November 2016 Goal and Fall Walks

Last month, I hosted my second accountability group challenge and it was a success! Not only was it a lot of fun to inspire others to reach their health and wellness goals, I had fun reaching my own goals and gaining inspiration from the group, too.

I forget exactly what I weighed in at the beginning of October, but it would have been somewhere between 250 and 253 lbs. At the end of October, I weighed in at 243.8 lbs. That's my lowest weight since 2015! I haven't been this low in weight for well over a year! I feel like I'm finally getting my groove back with this weight-loss thing.

My weight-loss goal for November is to get out of the 240's... for good. I want to weigh at least 239 lbs. by the end of the month. Losing 5 pounds in a month isn't a very aggressive goal but, I'm keeping in mind that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. If I lose 5 pounds this month, I will count it as a success!

We're two days in to November and so far, it's been a great start! The weather has been amazing (temperatures in the 70's) and so we've been getting a lot of walks in during our days.

Today, I took Piper on a long walk all the way into town (about an hour or so, round trip). We stopped at the post office, the grocery store, and went to the library on the way back home.

Piper had so much fun at the library today. She is able to say most of her colors (blue, pink, purple, yellow, green, orange) and she does a fairly good job at identifying them correctly. Every once in a while she'll get on a kick where everything is "bue" (blue). I think it's because blue is her favorite color to say, since I laugh almost every time. It's just so cute!

By the time we got back home from our walk into town, it was lunch and nap time.

When Nick got home, we went out for another walk. It was just too nice to stay indoors! We made some pretty amazing memories on this beautiful Fall day.

My favorite memory from our walk tonight was when I was watching Nick teach Piper how to blow the fuzzies off of the dandelions in the field, as the sun set. I'm convinced this moment is what dreams are made of. My dreams have definitely come true with those two.
