TGIF, my friends. I am still feeling pretty lousy from whatever cold I've caught but, knowing that it's Friday definitely brings a smile to my face.
I've been making some really easy and quick lunches lately that involve warm, buttery crescent rolls and, my entire family is hooked. They're super simple to make, inexpensive and quick.
Sometimes I'll throw in some roast beef lunch meat and pepperjack cheese and, other times I'll use turkey and provolone. I just roll out and pinch together two crescents, add a few slices of lunch meat and one slice of cheese. Then, I gather the ends in the middle, flip them over and bake at 350 for 14 minutes.
I had a hard time coming up with a name for these things because I call them pockets and, my daughter calls them rolls. Either way, the roast beef stuffed crescent rolls I made yesterday turned out to be 330 calories per pocket.
If you give these a try, let me know what you decided to stuff your crescents with in the comment section, below!
