Happy Friday! It’s the first day of August! I can’t believe it!
So far this summer, I have been bouncing around 235 lbs, which is up 5 pounds from my 10 pound loss this Spring. My goal for August is to end the month around 225 lbs. If I reach that goal, it will bring me 10 pounds down from my highest weight this summer, and 15 pounds down in total for the year.
I feel a little hesitant making that goal because I’m going right into a weekend of events and eating out, but it’s just one weekend.
Then, I also think about how many goodies and fun stuff we will likely be fitting into this last month of summer and I wonder if I can do this! I wonder if this goal is attainable?
After the amazing week I had as I got back on track, I want to say yes. I can do it! It will just take some focus, and then some refocusing, and intentionality.
Giving myself a rough draft of my goals and plans for the next day the night before has been helping me to stay on track. It helps me to go to bed feeling like “I’ve got this” and waking up with a “game plan” for the day. This is a part of the “focus” and “intentionality” piece that I was missing during my busier weeks this summer.
I’d like to dive more into exactly what I’ll be focusing on in August in my next post or two. For now, I’ll end this post with a glimpse into what I ate yesterday!
Breakfast: spinach and pepperjack cheese (3 egg) omelette with rye toast
