Happy Monday! Today didn’t start out as I’d imagined. I woke up to my husband trying to say goodbye to me before going to work, but in doing so he said his head hurt, his body ached, and his nose was stuffy. So, I encouraged him to stay home to rest and he did.
As he laid down, I got ready for the day and went to the store to stock up on some essentials like medicine, tissues, soup and hydration drinks. I’m not sure who will be next to catch this sickness in our house, but if history serves to be true again, one of us will indeed be next.
It’s the beginning of August and it seems like a lot of people are sick right now. This is unusual for us. I want to whine about it a little but instead I’ll try to focus on the bright side of things. I’m hoping this means that we’ll get all the immunity needed ahead of time to brave another flu season later this year with young children in school!
Aside from the way this day started, everything has been going really well lately. My cousin got married in Pittsburgh this weekend and so my husband and I got a nice weekend trip together out of it!
Since I have a lot of laundry to catch up on from our fun weekend away, I’m going to end this post right here. I’ll update tomorrow on the amazing weekend we had together, before the sickness rolled in.
