On Monday, I had a day at home with both of my girls. As the mom of a 5th grader and preschooler, these days are cherished! We planned to go out for brunch at a newer coffee shop that we’ve been wanting to try out together.
The girls had a double chocolate kind of morning with their chocolate muffins and chocolate milk! How special! I had a pistachio latte and half of the chocolate muffin that my youngest didn’t finish.
We stopped back at home where I made them each a fried egg (to try and balance out all of that sugar) and I had myself a leftover ground beef patty with cheese, lettuce, ketchup and mustard. Think of it like a little burger salad.
After a little while at home, we made a plan to go shopping for all the things we’d need to make resurrection gardens. We grabbed some fun stuff at the Dollar Tree and came back home for lunch. I made myself fish tacos which were amazing!
In the afternoon, we finally decorated for Spring and started on the resurrection gardens. These were fun to make with the kids. The gardens will decorate our table for the next couple of weeks! We planted some chia seeds that should be popping open in the next few days.
I loved this extra day at home with my girls!
