Hesitant for the Right Time

Happy Monday! In case you missed it, I started a Fall Challenge yesterday. It’ll run it the next 4 weeks. I must admit, I was a little hesitant to commit to this but, I don't want to keep putting this (myself) on hold.

I fell back into the trap of waiting until “the right time” to get restarted. I haven’t been tracking nutrition for quite a while now, which was fine for a bit, but now I’m 10ish pounds heavier than when I was tracking and something has to give.

I will say there is a slight complication to these weight-gaining calculations. I started strength training at the beginning of September, and I’ve been very consistent with it. I’ve even bumped up my weight significantly during training. So, it’s hard to tell how much of this weight is muscle gain. Obviously some of it is, and some of it isn’t.

I haven’t decided if I’ll pause strength training while I get back on track with cardio and nutrition tracking. I love strength training. I love how strong and steady it makes me feel. I am thinking I’ll probably do both cardio and strength training this month with cardio being the main focus as far as activity goes.

Tracking nutrition is the true priority of the month because it’s the area I have been neglecting the most, and the area where I feel like I’ll see the most breakthrough by committing to.
